NEW DELHI: A surprising video exhibiting dogs ingesting our bodies of suspected COVID-19 victims on a riverbank at Kedar Ghat in Uttarakhand’s Uttarkashi has long gone viral on social media.
Local residents, who had complained to the district authorities to procure arrangements for appropriate disposal of these our bodies, stated that the our bodies had presumably been dumped upstream into the river, a tributary of the Ganga.

Expressing enrage, the local residents claimed that the civic body took no motion irrespective of complaints.
Ramesh Semwal, chairman of the Nagar Palika, stated, “Some half of-burnt our bodies were viewed on the ghat being eaten by dogs. We find assigned a sadhu who lives on the ghat to obtain cleansing the distance after final rites are carried out.”
