MUMBAI: Used Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) president Ravi Savant on Friday filed a petition within the Bombay Excessive Court, trying to secure to set a follow it the MCA’s resolution to appoint Amol Muzumdar as the pinnacle coach of the Mumbai senior team for the 2020-21 season.
Savant has told the court to restrain the MCA from appointing a coach pending a resolution on the dismissal of the dissolution of the outdated Cricket Enchancment Committee (CIC).
“I’ve nothing in opposition to Amol, who’s been a home stalwart and is a historical Mumbai Ranji-winning captain. It’s upright that the intention to appoint him is unconstitutional,” Savant suggested TOI.
Savant has termed the dissolution of the outdated CIC by the MCA on February 18 as “mala fide, arbitrary and with none authority.”
He has told the court to reinstate the outdated CIC, which became headed by Lalchand Rajput, and incorporated Raju Kulkarni and Sameer Dighe.
Muzumdar’s appointment has no longer long gone down wisely with two MCA Apex Council people also.
In separate emails to MCA secretaries Sanjay Naik and Shahalam Sheikh, Apex Council people Unmesh Khanvilkar, a historical secretary of the association, and Ajinkya Naik conveyed their displeasure at no longer being consulted or informed throughout the intention of Muzumdar’s appointment.
